THE BIG 5
The Highest Annual Honors of the EIMA Awards®
Every year, the European International Music Awards® (EIMA Awards®) celebrate excellence in music through four seasonal competitions:
Winter • Spring • Summer • Autumn
Throughout the year, hundreds of artists, composers, producers and music professionals compete across dozens of musical categories, with the finest achievements receiving the prestigious EIMA Awards® Gold Medal.
At the conclusion of each competition year, every Gold Medal recipient becomes eligible for the most distinguished annual recognition presented by the EIMA Awards®: THE BIG 5.
The BIG 5 represent the highest annual honors of the EIMA Awards®, recognizing the most outstanding artists and musical achievements across all genres and disciplines.
The recipients of these prestigious distinctions are officially awarded the exclusive title of EIMA Awards® Grand Laureate, reserved for those whose work represents the highest level of artistic excellence achieved during the entire competition year.
Who is Eligible?
Participation in The BIG 5 is reserved exclusively for artists and music professionals who have received at least one EIMA Awards® Gold Medal during one or more of the following official sessions of the current competition year:

The Selection Process
Unlike the seasonal competitions, The BIG 5 constitute the final annual stage of the EIMA Awards®.
Eligible Gold Medal recipients compete across all four seasonal editions, with the objective of identifying the highest artistic achievement in each of the five major categories.
The BIG 5 are evaluated by a dedicated EIMA Awards® Jury, composed of experienced music professionals representing different musical disciplines and artistic backgrounds.
The evaluation criteria are identical to those applied throughout the seasonal EIMA Awards® competitions, focusing on artistic quality, originality, creativity, technical excellence, production value and overall artistic impact.
Following the evaluation of all eligible Gold Medal-winning works from the entire competition year, the Jury designates one EIMA Awards® Grand Laureate for each of the five BIG 5 categories.
Only five artists worldwide receive the prestigious title of EIMA Awards® Grand Laureate each competition year.
Announcement of the Grand Laureates
The EIMA Awards® Grand Laureates are officially announced every January, following the conclusion of the annual competition cycle.
